Welcome to Rushden Transport Museum & Railway
Rushden Transport Museum is situated in the Old Midland Railway Station of 1894 which once formed part of the Wellingborough to Higham Ferrers branch line.
Taken over by the Rushden Historical Transport Society in 1984 the station also provides the society with a social club.
Today RHTS owns and runs Rushden Transport Museum, has over 650 members and organises one of the biggest Transport Rallies and County Shows in the area attracting over 25000 people to Rushden during the annual 3 day event.
RHTS has a wide range of rolling stock, and runs selected stock on open days. With over half a mile of track, there is scope for variety.
In addition to the Station buildings, and track, the Society has recently acquired the Goods Shed. This provides a large undercover area, whilst preserving the heritage of the area.
