Rushden Transport Museum

The Museum, consisting of many pieces of rail memorabilia and small items linked with road transport, is housed in the waiting room, ticket office, parcels office and Stationmaster's office of Rushden Station.

The railway has 1/4 mile of line, used for demonstration runs only at present, though this is due to change shortly. Road vehicles are stored in the adjoining yard.

The Museum is open on Sundays from Easter to October from 10am to 3pm. Visits can be arranged at other times by appointment. Visits by schools and other groups are welcome.

Admission is by donation - all monies received are used to improve the facility.

Below are some photos illustrating the superb standard of refurbishment achieved by the Museum group.
